Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi

    Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you'll be warmly greeted by your private safari guide.

    Transfer to the Tamarind Tree Hotel, a comfortable 4-star hotel conveniently located near the airport.

    After checking in and refreshing, you have the option to explore the nearby Nairobi National Park or relax at the hotel. A visit to the park is highly recommended, offering a glimpse of the diverse wildlife that awaits you on the main safari. The park is home to lions, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and various antelopes.

    In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel's restaurant, followed by a restful overnight stay in preparation for your adventure.

  • Day 2: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

    Travel time: About 5 - 6 hours

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

    After an early breakfast, begin your journey to the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. The drive takes you through the picturesque Great Rift Valley, offering stunning views and a chance to stop at viewpoints along the way.

    Arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. The lodge is set in the Oloolaimutia Valley, with sweeping views of the savannah. After settling into your spacious room, enjoy a gourmet lunch at the lodge's restaurant.

    In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Masai Mara. This vast reserve is renowned for its exceptional population of big cats and abundant wildlife. Your expert guide will help you spot the Big Five - lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino - as well as numerous other species such as zebras, gazelles, and wildebeest.

    As the sun sets, return to the lodge for a delicious dinner served in the main dining area.

  • Day 3: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

    Wake up early for a thrilling morning game drive when animals are most active. Your experienced guide will take you on an unforgettable journey through the reserve. Enjoy a packed breakfast in a scenic spot amidst the breathtaking landscape.

    Return to the lodge for a leisurely lunch and some downtime. You can relax by the pool, enjoy the panoramic views from the lodge's terrace, or simply unwind in your room.

    In the afternoon, you have the option to visit a traditional Maasai village and learn about their rich culture and way of life. Alternatively, you can choose another game drive to witness more of the Mara's incredible wildlife.

    As day turns to night, enjoy a magical sundowner experience in the bush, followed by dinner at the lodge. The day concludes with an optional night game drive (at additional cost) to spot nocturnal animals.

  • Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

    Travel Time: About 5 - 6 hours

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner

    After breakfast, bid farewell to the Masai Mara and journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its vast population of flamingos and other avian species.

    Arrive at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge in time for lunch. The lodge offers stunning views over the lake and the park. After lunch and some relaxation time, embark on an afternoon game drive around the lake. Marvel at the vibrant pink hues of thousands of flamingos, as well as pelicans, cormorants, and other water birds. You'll also have the opportunity to spot the endangered white and black rhinoceros, which thrive in the park's sanctuary.

    Return to the lodge for dinner with panoramic views of the lake, followed by an overnight stay in your comfortable room.

  • Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli National Park

    Travel Time: About 6-7 hours

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner

    After an early breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru for the iconic Amboseli National Park. This scenic drive takes you through changing landscapes, from the Great Rift Valley to the shadows of Mount Kilimanjaro.

    Arrive at Ol Tukai Lodge in the afternoon, perfectly positioned with unobstructed views of Kilimanjaro. After a delicious lunch and some leisure time, embark on an afternoon game drive. Amboseli boasts a diverse array of wildlife, including large herds of elephants, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and various antelopes, all set against the majestic backdrop of Kilimanjaro.

    Return to the lodge for a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay in your elegant cottage, falling asleep to the sounds of the African bush.

  • Day 6: Full Day in Amboseli

  • Day 7: Amboseli to Nairobi

    Travel Time: About 4-5 hours

    Meals: Breakfast & Lunch

    On your final day, enjoy a last morning game drive in Amboseli, savoring the stunning scenery and capturing final memories of this remarkable destination. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast before departing for Nairobi.

    Upon arrival in Nairobi in the early afternoon, you'll have time for lunch and some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in the city. You might visit the Giraffe Centre or the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's elephant orphanage if time permits.

    Finally, transfer to your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Kenyan safari adventure.
