In the late afternoon, you'll set out on your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Keep an eye out for the "Samburu Special Five" – Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, beisa oryx, and Somali ostrich – as your guide shares insights into their unique adaptations to the harsh environment. As the sun sets, return to the lodge for dinner and your first night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

In the afternoon, set out on another game drive, focusing on the smaller and more elusive inhabitants of the reserve. Your guide will help you spot and identify various antelope species, primates, and the hundreds of bird species that call Samburu home. As the day cools, you might encounter the peculiar gerenuk, standing on its hind legs to browse.
Return to the lodge as the sun sets for dinner and your second night in Samburu Sopa Lodge.

After breakfast, you'll depart Ol Pejeta and make the journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, you'll check into the elegant Flamingo Hill Camp, situated within the park boundaries.
After settling in, you'll head out on a game drive around the shores of the lake, famous for its large flocks of bright pink flamingos. Keep an eye out for the park's resident black and white rhinos, as well as other wildlife like leopards, lions, and endangered Rothschild's giraffes.

In the afternoon, you'll embark on your first game drive in the Mara, searching for the iconic Big Five and other abundant wildlife that call this vast grassland ecosystem home.

In the afternoon, you'll head out again to explore different areas of the reserve. If you're visiting during the annual Great Migration (typically July to October), you may witness the dramatic river crossings of thousands of wildebeest and zebra. Beyond the migration, the Mara is teeming with a diverse array of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, and various antelope species.
In the evenings, you'll have the chance to visit a local Maasai village, learning about their age-old traditions and way of life.
