As you leave the city behind, watch the landscape transform from urban sprawl to rural villages and finally to the open savannah.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, set out for your first game drive in Amboseli. The park is famous for its large herds of elephants and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, which forms a dramatic backdrop on clear days.
During your game drive, look out for other wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. Your guide will help you spot and identify the animals, sharing interesting facts about their behaviors and the park's ecosystem.

Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and some time to relax by the pool or on your private veranda. After lunch, head out for another game drive in a different area of the park.
Amboseli is known for its excellent elephant viewing opportunities. Watch these gentle giants as they move in family herds, often against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Your guide will position the vehicle for the best viewing and photo opportunities.
In the late afternoon, you might choose to take an optional visit to a local Maasai village (extra cost). This is a chance to learn about the traditions and daily life of these iconic pastoralists who have lived alongside wildlife for centuries.
Return to the lodge for dinner and another night surrounded by the sounds of the African bush. Overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge or similar.
Travel Time: 6-7 Hours
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After an early breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. This is a long but scenic drive that takes you through changing landscapes, from the open savannah of Amboseli to the dramatic escarpments of the Great Rift Valley.
En route, you'll make a stop at a viewpoint overlooking the vast Rift Valley, where your guide will explain the geological significance of this massive fault line. It's a perfect opportunity to stretch your legs and capture some memorable photos.
Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in the late afternoon. If time allows, enjoy a short game drive as you make your way to your lodge. Lake Nakuru is famous for its population of flamingos that often fringe the shores, creating a stunning pink haze over the water. However, the number of flamingos varies depending on water and food conditions.
Besides the flamingos, keep your eyes peeled for white and black rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes, waterbucks, and the elusive leopard. The park is also home to lion prides, and if you're lucky, you might spot the unique tree-climbing lions of Lake Nakuru.

Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and some time to relax. After lunch, head out for another game drive in a different area of the reserve. If you're visiting during the Great Migration (typically July to October), you might witness the spectacular sight of thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River.
In the evening, you have the option of taking a night game drive (extra cost) to spot nocturnal animals like aardvarks, bat-eared foxes, and prowling predators.

After lunch, set out for an afternoon game drive. Your guide will take you to different areas of the reserve, maximizing your chances of spotting a variety of wildlife. You might see a pride of lions on the hunt, a leopard lounging in a tree, or a family of elephants at a watering hole.
As this is your last evening in the Mara, you might choose to enjoy a sundowner (drinks at sunset) in a scenic spot in the bush (extra cost). Watch the sun sink below the horizon, painting the sky in spectacular colors, while reflecting on the incredible experiences of your safari.
