Your safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi. The drive to the Masai Mara takes you through the Great Rift Valley, offering stunning views of the escarpment and rural Kenyan landscapes. You'll make stops at scenic viewpoints along the way, where you can stretch your legs and take photos.
Upon arrival at Mara Serena Safari Lodge, you'll be welcomed with a refreshing drink and a brief orientation. After checking in and freshening up, enjoy a delicious lunch on the terrace overlooking the vast Mara plains.

Your expert guide will introduce you to the incredible ecosystem as you search for the Big Five and other iconic African wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for herds of elephants, towers of giraffes, and perhaps even a pride of lions. Start your day early with an optional hot air balloon safari (at an extra cost). Float silently over the Mara as the sun rises, offering a bird's eye view of the wildlife below. If not ballooning, embark on an early morning game drive when predators are most active. You might catch a glimpse of a leopard returning from a night hunt or lions feasting on a fresh kill.
Return to the lodge for a hearty late breakfast. Spend the late morning at leisure, perhaps taking a dip in the infinity pool or enjoying a massage at the spa.
After lunch, head out for an afternoon game drive, exploring a different area of the reserve. Your guide will help you spot and identify various species, explaining their behaviors and roles in the ecosystem. Keep your camera ready for potential sightings of cheetahs on the hunt, hippos wallowing in muddy pools, or if you're lucky, the elusive black rhino.
As the afternoon progresses, visit a local Maasai village. Here, you'll be welcomed with traditional songs and dances. Learn about Maasai customs, visit a traditional home, and gain insights into their pastoralist lifestyle. You may even have the opportunity to participate in a jumping dance or try your hand at traditional craft-making.
Conclude your day with a sunset game drive, watching as the savanna comes alive with nocturnal creatures. Return to the lodge for a delicious dinner under the stars, followed by an optional night game drive to spot nocturnal animals.
