A private Kenya safari from Singapore starts at about S$1,540 per person for four days and about S$2,700 for a mid-range week, before flights. Those are our lowest prices, for a group of six travelling between January and June. A couple travelling in August on a mid-range week pays about S$3,850 each.

Kenya's camps and parks charge in US dollars, so we quote in dollars. Every Singapore dollar figure here uses roughly S$1.28 to the US dollar, the rate in mid-October 2026. Check the current rate when you budget.

Prices by trip length

Starting prices per person for private safaris with your own vehicle and guide. “From” means a group of six sharing, January to June.

TripFrom (USD)About (SGD)
4-day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru$1,200S$1,540
5-day mid-range Mara, Nakuru and Naivasha$1,400S$1,800
7-day mid-range Amboseli, Nakuru and Mara$2,100S$2,700
7-day luxury Mara, Nakuru and Naivasha$3,000S$3,850
8-day safari and beach escape$3,900S$5,010

Prices include accommodation, meals on safari, park fees, game drives and ground transfers. International flights, insurance, tips and drinks are extra. All our trips for Singapore travellers are on the Kenya safaris from Singapore page.

What moves the price

Season. Masai Mara entry for non-residents is US$200 per adult per day from July to December, and US$100 from January to June. Lodges also raise rates in the peak months.

Group size. You pay for the vehicle and guide whether there are two of you or six. A couple pays the highest per-person price; a family of five or six the lowest.

Lodges. Mid-range lodges and small luxury camps on the same route can differ by hundreds of dollars a night.

Flying between parks. Light aircraft save long road transfers but add to the cost.

Extras to budget for

  • Flights: there is no nonstop from Changi; you connect via Addis Ababa, Bangkok, Dubai or Doha. See our Singapore to Kenya flights guide for routes and times.
  • Entry: Singapore passport holders do not need a Kenya eTA for stays of up to 90 days, which saves about US$30 each.
  • Yellow fever vaccination: needed for your return to Singapore, as our travel requirements guide explains. Ask your clinic for the cost.
  • Tips: a common guide is US$10 to US$20 per guest per day for your driver-guide and US$5 to US$15 for camp staff.
  • Travel insurance with emergency evacuation cover.

A worked example

Two adults on our 7-day mid-range safari to Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara, travelling in the September school holidays:

  • Safari: US$3,000 each for two people from July to December, about S$3,850
  • Tips over seven days: about US$105 to US$245 each, S$135 to S$315
  • Insurance and vaccinations: varies

So before flights, plan for roughly S$4,000 to S$4,200 each. The same trip in June, before the Mara fee doubles, is US$2,500 each for two, about S$3,210. Our guide to the best time to go from Singapore matches each school holiday to the seasons.

Paying

A 30% deposit confirms the trip, and the balance is due 60 days before you travel. We quote and invoice in US dollars, and you can pay by bank transfer or card; your bank converts from SGD at its own rate.

Tell us your dates and group size, and we will send a written quote within 24 hours. Or browse our Kenya safari packages for travellers from Singapore.
